I never dreamed my life would change so quickly and that this baby girl would bring so much joy into my life as well as my family’s and friend’s lives. Glory be to God for making my adoption journey so smooth and quick. I know that it was God’s plan and perfect timing for me to be Ava Grace’s mommy.

Wow! I haven’t had the chance before to really go through your blog and look into it. However, I happened upon this entry today, and I am blown away. It was so encouraging and Biblically supported. This is the voice and encouragement that I wish families heard more that have or are adopting transracially. Thanks for sharing!

I cried when I read this. I am single and in the beginning stages of adopting. I came to this website through a friend of my sister’s who has adopted 2 babies through FAC.

Jessica’s grandfather was adopted at the age of 18 months old from an orphanage in Tennessee. His mother gave him up as she could not afford to raise another child. Who would have known that this would be the spark that started Jessica’s desire to help other children.

Jessica herself came from a family of 5 siblings and her parents both came from large families, who are all Christians. So let the fun begin with her large family.

As her mom, I can proudly say that everyone of Jessica and Shawn’s siblings have professed that they have accepted Jesus as their Savior.

There is a song that was written that uses the words, “You’re the only Jesus some may ever see.” I can only imagine how many children will be in heaven someday though adoption of earthly families who are of the Christian faith. After all, Christ adopted us.

I am so happy for Shawn & Jessica. Watching her pursue the adoption & having her share her heart about it was a real blessing in my life. She is so passionate about this and so willing to help others on their journey.
FAC will be blessed! Emmaline is such a joy! Love love love this precious little one!

Not sure if I ever told you, but thank you for being such great encouragement and support during this time! A friend of mine called that night and said I should read this when I felt up to it. I read it a few days later, and felt such relief that the person helping us through our adoption had the same heart and conviction for adoption that we did! This part of our journey was so emotional and draining, but I sincerely feel that God will use every part of our adoption journey to help others with theirs!

I love all these bible verses, they are some of my favorites! The Lord did not say that what He commands us to do would be easy. And maybe He uses these hard times to see how committed we are to Him! I’m so thankful that in my life, you have lived out Galatians 6:2! Sorry if I didn’t express it at the time, but thank you so, so much for being there for me!
